The GFB EX4 external wastgate was developed to handle the most extreme exhaust gas temperatures with ease.<\/p>\n
The EX44 not only supports an optimum flow rate, but is also characterized by its compact size,
\nwhich is unattainable by comparable 44mm Wastgates from other manufacturers.<\/p>\n
Properties:
\nEquipped with a 15psi spring
\nSprings with 7psi (0.49 kg\/cm2) and 9psi (0.63 kg\/cm2) are also available and can be combined with the 15psi spring.
\nThe following charging pressures can therefore be achieved: 0.5, 0.6, 0.9, 1.1, 1.4, 1.5, 2.0 bar (7, 9, 13, 16, 20, 22 and 29psi)
\nThe housing, valve and seat are made of high-temperature resistant steel.
\nThe drive housing is made of 7075 aluminum, which is much stronger and harder than ordinary 6061 aluminum.
\nFlow tests have shown that the GFB EX44 is up to 18% superior to competing wastegates with the same valve lift.
\nThe internal valve cover protects the valve stem from excessive heat and thus prevents sticking.
\nThe Nomex-reinforced silicone rolling diaphragm provides more valve lift.<\/p>\n
