The ceramic sealant is a long-term sealant, is transparent and has excellent hardness. Many surfaces can be sustainably protected against environmental influences. E.g. painted surfaces, metals, glass, plastics, ceramics, stainless steel and precious metals. Our services mainly relate to cars and motorcycles, boats and yachts. What is a ceramic coating?
A ceramic coating is a Liquid protective layer, which is applied to the paint and chemically bonds with it. It offers protection against UV radiation, chemicals, bird droppings and road salt. It also provides a strong water and dirt repellent effect, making the car easier to clean. However, it only provides limited protection against micro-scratches and offers no protection against stone chips or deeper scratches. Depending on the product and care, the durability is around two to five years.
What is the difference between ceramic coating and other sealants?
The main difference between Wax, other sealants and one Ceramic coating lies in the Durability, Protective effect and chemical composition.
Is the ceramic coating insured?
Yes, an example:
Your ceramic-coated vehicle has suffered damage that requires various add-on parts to be repainted and then recoated. Bring the affected vehicle to us - we will take care of the process with your insurance company. Your comprehensive insurance will not only cover the costs for repainting or replacing the damaged parts, but also for the new ceramic coating. Please note that only the add-on parts that have been replaced, repaired or polished can be recoated.
Can matt vehicles also be coated?
Yes, even matt painted vehicles can be given a ceramic coating. However, there are some important differences compared to glossy paintwork. A ceramic coating protects the matt paintwork from UV radiation, chemicals and environmental influences and makes cleaning easier thanks to its water and dirt-repellent effect. In contrast to glossy paint, however, it does not change the appearance if a special matt ceramic coating is used. An important aspect of matt lacquers is that they cannot be polished, as this would make the lacquer unevenly glossy. The surface must therefore be spotlessly clean before coating. Gentle care is also required after coating to maintain the matt effect. A ceramic coating is therefore an excellent choice for the protection and care of matt painted vehicles, but requires a special formulation and careful application.

How do I care for the ceramic coating?
1. first wash cycle after coating
- Wait at least 7 days, before you wash the car for the first time.
- Avoid high-pressure cleaners or aggressive chemicals during this time.
2. regular washing (every 1-2 weeks)
- Prefer hand wash: Use a pH-neutral Car shampoo solution.
- Two-bucket methodOne bucket of soapy water, one bucket of clean water for rinsing.
- Microfiber washing glove do not use sponges or brushes.
3. use the high-pressure cleaner correctly
- Minimum distance: 30 cm
- Flat beam, no spot beam
- Never aim directly at edges or seals
4. do not use aggressive chemicals
- No wax or sealants - The ceramic coating replaces this.
- No strong alkaline cleaners (e.g. rim cleaner with a high pH value).
5. drying after washing
- With a Microfiber drying cloth dab gently.
- No circular movements to avoid scratches.
- Alternative: Air drying with compressed air.
6. care products for ceramic coating
- Detailer based on SiO₂ (silicon dioxide) every 4-6 weeks.
- Xpel Ceramic Boost or our In-house finish detailer can be used.
- These products help to maintain the protective effect and shine of the ceramic coating.
- These prolong the hydrophobicity and gloss of the coating.
7. protection from extreme conditions
- Avoid automatic car washes (especially with brushes).
- Remove bird droppings, tree resin and insects immediately, as they can damage the coating.
- If the car is parked for a longer period of time: Covering with a breathable tarpaulin.
This keeps your vehicle perfectly protected and shiny!
These care instructions are also recommended for non-coated vehicles.
How long does the ceramic coating last?
One layer of our ceramic coating has a service life of 3-4 years, depending on the care and use of the vehicle. With the right care, the service life can even be extended. Regular cleaning with pH-neutral agents and the use of special care products help to maintain the protection and shine.

In Germany, prices for ceramic sealants can vary greatly. However, before deciding on a sealant, you should not only pay attention to the price, but also carefully check the quality of the products and the professionalism of the provider. A poorly applied or inferior coating can seriously damage your vehicle's paintwork. In addition, ceramic sealants that are advertised with unrealistically long lifetimes of up to 10 years are often associated with additional maintenance costs.
